  8. Note:     The term "vendor" is used to refer to any person, company or group
  9.           distributing the evaluation version of My Little Realm's Private
  10.           Library program by any means for profit or for any other purpose.
  11.  
  12.           The distribution license agreements are immediately below.  
  13.  
  14.           All vendors should refer to "Contents For Vendors" below (about 
  15.           line 45) for ZIP file contents and what the distribution disk 
  16.           should contain after expanding the ZIP file.
  17.  
  18.           The .ZIP file ID is MLRPRI30.ZIP.  Previous versions:  MLRPRI20.ZIP
  19.           and MLRPRI25.ZIP.

  21.           You'll find my name, address and phone number, along with 
  22.           descriptions of Private Library, at the end of this document.

  24.           The registration price is $20 (USA).  The benefits are listed at
  25.           the end of this document near the descriptions.  Possible product 
  26.           categories would be Education/Bibliography, Flat File Databases for 
  27.           Home Libraries, and Organizational Products for the home.

  39. As the exclusive copyright holder for My Little Realm's Private Library 
  40. program, John L. Salisbury (also called the author) authorizes distribution 
  41. only in accordance with the following restrictions:

  47.   o  Disk vendors, please expand MLRPRI30.ZIP to get the following files.

  63.   o  BBS Sysops, please ensure that MLRPRI30.ZIP contains the above files.

  69.   o  ASP Vendors in good standing are hereby granted permission to distribute 
  70.      the Private Library package.
  71.      
  72.   o  Non-ASP member vendors must request permission prior to distributing this
  73.      package.

  75.   o  The Private Library package - including all related program files and 
  76.      documentation files - cannot be modified in any way and must be 
  77.      distributed as a complete package, without exception.
  78.  
  79.   o  No disk vendor may place other authors' works on the Private Library 
  80.      disk.  Small additions to the package, such as the introductory or 
  81.      installation batch files used by many shareware disk vendors, are 
  82.      acceptable.

  84.   o  No price or other compensation may be charged by any vendor for the 
  85.      Private Library software package.  Vendors may charge the standard fees 
  86.      for the materials and services they provide.

  89. Disk Sets & CD-ROMs:

  91. The Private Library package cannot be sold as part of some other inclusive 
  92. package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial software packaging offer 
  93. without a written agreement from John L.Salisbury.
  94.  
  95. ASP Approved Vendors who wish to distribute the Private Library package as 
  96. part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) may 
  97. do so provided that all the other restrictions are met.
  98.  
  99. Non-ASP Member Vendors who wish to distribute the Private Library package as 
  100. part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) must 
  101. obtain permission from the author prior to beginning such a distribution.
  102.  
  103. Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution:
  104. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  105. If you would like to distribute the Private Library package as a Disk-of-
  106. the-Month, or as part of a subscription or monthly service, then the
  107. following restrictions apply:

  109.   o  ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Members in good standing are hereby 
  110.      given permission to distribute the Private Library package under the 
  111.      Disk-of-the-Month style of distribution.
  112.  
  113.   o  Non-ASP Vendors must contact the author in advance to ensure that 
  114.      they have the most current version of the software.
  115.  
  116.   o  Vendors (ASP and non-ASP Members) cannot use a Disk-of-the-Month 
  117.      distribution to use up their inventory of old (out of date) disks.  
  118.      Only current versions of the Private Library package may be shipped 
  119.      as Disk-of-the-Month disks.
  120.  
  121.   o  A printed copy of the online documentation may not be reproduced 
  122.      in whole or in part, using any means, without the written permission 
  123.      of the author.  
  124.  
  125.   o  The Private Library package cannot be rented or leased to others.
  126.  
  127.   o  No vendor may list Private Library in advertisements, catalogs, or 
  128.      other literature which describes Private Library as "FREE SOFTWARE".  
  129.  
  130.   o  The author expressly prohibits the distribution of outdated versions 
  131.      of the Private Library package without written permission.  If the 
  132.      version you have is over twelve (12) months old, please contact the
  133.      author to ensure that you have the most current version.  
  134.  
  135.   o  Vendors shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  136.      disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed 
  137.      program except as provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized 
  138.      use shall result in immediate and automatic termination of this 
  139.      license.

  141. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to the author.

  177. Private Library gives you the opportunity to put all of your personal volumes
  178. online.  Your works can be cataloged by type (books, cd's, tapes, etc.), or 
  179. by category (fiction, non-fiction, or use the Dewey Decimal System), or even 
  180. by ownership (who owns each work/volume/recording).

  182. Your file can be viewed, sorted and printed.  You can perform searches on any
  183. field (title, author, category) by simply telling Private Library the 
  184. character string you want to find and in which field.  It's a great way to 
  185. get organized!
